CAMPAIGN AD. jobs and ideas

first three weeks in our groups we were discussing what our campaign was going to be about and that we were given two options to pick from and that was child abuse and domestic violence.

We took child abuse and we were just throwing in ideas which we came up with a campaign or ad; that deals with sexual abuse around the ages of 11 to 18 years young adults.
so then we went had a bit of research on youtube finding videos that relate to this matter.
LEGEND or the GHOST CHIPS AD; the scene is based around the teenage years or young adults. a mate sees a friend of his drunk about to drive off home but also to scared to confront him because a girl he likes at this party thinks he's dumb for what he is going to do.

He then has a vision that if he doesn't tell his friend that he'll die and he'll have to live with his family. so he clicks straight away and confronts him before leaving and makes him stay.
i chose this ad just because of the age that this is based around and the things that they think about before doing something stupid or not worth the risk but also knowing that theres someone there to help you or to be honest with your decisions.

week 4 & 5
things changed between the two groups so both groups became one.
we were given jobs/rolls. i was given the roll of a GRIP.

here are some examples of what a grip does with in the film crewGrips' responsibility is to build and maintain all the equipment that supports cameras. This equipment, which includes tripods, dollies, tracks, jibs, cranes, and static rigs, is constructed of delicate yet heavy duty parts requiring a high level of experience to operate and move. Every scene in a feature film is shot using one or more cameras, each mounted on highly complex, extremely expensive, heavy duty equipment. Grips assemble this equipment according to meticulous specifications and push, pull, mount or hang it from a variety of settings. The equipment can be as basic as a tripod standing on a studio floor, to hazardous operations such as mounting a camera on a 100 ft crane, or hanging it from a helicopter swooping above a mountain range.Good Grips perform a crucial role in ensuring that the artifice of film is maintained, and that camera moves are as seamless as possible. Grips are usually requested by the DoP or the camera operator. Although the work is physically demanding and the hours are long, the work can be very rewarding. Many Grips work on both commercials and features.

these are some photos on where our film was taken. these photos were taken at two different locations the first three photos were taken at the first location where Gus ( main character ) is getting ready for a party that hes going to attend in a few hours.
the bottom three photos is the next location where the party is held.
there was a poster that was designed by Samantha our film groups producer and on it there were details for anyone from the ages of 11 to 18 to audition for a spot on taking part in our film. here a some of many people who auditioned, to me i really like the confidence in some of those who auditioned for a spot. overall everyone that took there time out to come out to M.I.T to audition did a good job.

this is one of many scenes i got to feature in as i also had another part other then just being a grip. i played one of the rapist with in the three. in this scene i am trying to get the girl drunk as much as i can while the other two guys are encouraging her to drink up even though she was already tipsy and wasn't keen on anymore drinks/shots.

this scene was one the scenes i felt really uncomfortable even though it was just acting but still had me thinking that i was in a position where a girl had just been raped and it had to be the part i played. overall it was for a good cause but also a lot of fun and a experience to be behind the scenes and also in front of the camera.
